Day 1

Pick up from Zanzibar Airport and transfer to Shaba Boutique Hotel for overnight in a Suite room based on Bed & Breakfast

Karibu Stone Town

Upon the arrival of your flight into Zanzibar Airport, your taxi driver will be awaiting you in the parking area of the airport and takes you to Shaba Boutique Hotel where you will spend your first night recovering from your trip. Shaba Boutique Hotel is located in a beautiful and characteristic building in the heart of the old centre of Stone Town with lots of restaurants in the area for lunch and dinner.

Day 2

Stone Town excursion and overnight at Shaba Boutique Hotel

Discover Stone Town’s history

Today you follow the trail of the sultans, slaves and explorers in the winding streets of Stone Town. Your guide will captivate you by retelling the events that shaped Zanzibar, leading you through the buildings where it all happened. Some of these sites include the former Slave Market and Anglican Cathedral, The House of Wonders and The Sultan’s’ Palace Museum, Freddie Mercury’s Museum, The Old Arab Fort and Dispensary and many more.  Overnight at Shaba Boutique Hotel

Day 3

Spice farm excursion and transfer to Zanzibar Bay Resort for check-in and overnight in a Luxury room on an all-inclusive meal plan

Spice it up!

After check-out, your driver takes you to a Spice Farm, where your guide will walk you through the farm and you will get to experience by touching, smelling and seeing various spices and tropical fruits. You will learn the different aspects of each spice and fruit, but just wait until you have to try guess which is which, from the crushed leaves, the fruit, shoots and vines. This experience will leave you with a desire for and knowledge of spices you did not even know about. From here, you continue to Zanzibar Bay Resort, where you will check in to a Luxury room on an all-inclusive meal plan

Day 4-5

Rest and relaxation, and overnight at Zanzibar Bay Resort

Two days of rest and relaxation.

Take your time enjoying the Resort by having a drink at the Jetty Bar, sunbathing or take a cooling dive in the Indian Ocean or swimming pool.

Day 6

Jozani Forest excursion and (optional) lunch at The Rock, and overnight at Zanzibar Bay Resort

Magical Monkeys

Jozani Forest is currently being considered as Zanzibar’s second world heritage site! The Jozani-Chwaka bay area is a hotspot of biodiversity, the forest is home to a number of endemic species, including the Zanzibar Red Colobus Monkey. The monkeys have become accustomed to people and allow you to get close to take photographs as they eat, play and jump from the treetops. After you explored Jozani, the taxi is ready to show you The Rock Restaurant on the southeast coast, one of Zanzibar’s most famous restaurants. A small cozy restaurant that is built on a massive rock in the ocean. (Optional: if you wish to have a meal and drinks here, table reservations need to be made in advance.) Overnight at Zanzibar Bay Resort. 

Day 7

Sunset Dhow cruise and overnight at Zanzibar Bay Resort

Relax during the day and end it by hopping onto the local traditional Dhow and set off into the sunset. The captain will be waiting for you on the beach on departure, ready for an amazing 2-hour journey across the Indian Ocean with the most magnificent views of the tides, mangroves and sea life.

Day 8

Transfer to Zanzibar Airport

Return home

After breakfast and check-out, a vehicle is awaiting you to take you to the Airport of Zanzibar for your flight back home.
